Consolidated B-24 ball turret,,"my home"

This is a good shot of my home place on the B-24...No Place like home, well a cold home. 40 below zero outside and a 200 mile per hour wind blowing through. GO FIGURE. Wind chill factor I'm still working on that one. I was always happy when we had a tail wind. Posted by Hello
The turret had two 50 caliber machine guns to protect the bottom of the bomber. We had a computer sight in the turret " yes COMPUTER. In the picture upper right you can see where my right foot was placed . It is located above your head so you are lying on your back with you feet above your head. Try that for 8 hours sometime. Like I often say war is hell. Write if you find better work. rf
