Bridge Over the River Quai

This is a famous bridge in Kanchanaburi, Thialand. It's a memorial to the POWs who lost their lives building it for the Japanese. Americans, Brits, Aussies, allied forces alike were all brought here under horrific circmstances and forced to construct the bridge until they either died or were killed. Safety isn't much of a consideration to this day. There are no hand rails on the bridge and people walk across it every day. I'm surprized more people don't plummet into the dangerous waters more often.
