Anadarko Destination Guide
Be sure to visit Indian City USA, a series of re-created shelters from the area's Native American nations, as well as those of the Navajo and Pueblo of the Southwest. There's also a museum on-site, and dances are performed every day in the summer. Also in town is the National Hall of Fame for Famous American Indians and the Southern Plains Indian Museum and Crafts Center (stop by the gift shop, which sells items from the Oklahoma Indian Arts and Crafts Cooperative). You should also take a look at the murals by Kiowa Indian artists that decorate the town's post office. 55 mi/90 km southwest of Oklahoma City.
