Building of TWO 20 amp Power Supplies by Hurst Ham Club members.
Dear HARC members,
A member of HARC has recently donated three working two-meter radios to the club (one talkie, two base rigs). These radios are to be used by club members who have retired to nursing homes or assisted living facilities for as long as they need them. When they are finished using them, the radios will return to HARC/RACES so they can be loaned out again. The two base rigs will, of course, require power supplies. Several members of our club have agreed that building these power supplies would be a worthy project. Therefore on Saturday, June 17th, at 9:30AM we will gather at the Hurst EOC on Hurstview for an old-fashioned work party. Two power supplies will be built. Refreshments will be served. Some members have already volunteered to dig through their “junk boxes” looking for useable parts—please consider doing the same. Plan on coming to work and/or bring supplies and equipment. All will surely have a good time!
