A.A.... I.D. Tag from a controller

An interesting thing happened to a couple Flight Engineers . We were on lay over in N.Y. back in the 50's and we decided to take a shopping trip down to lower Manhattan. While brousing thru the used electronic shops we ran upon two Control units for ground nav. equipment. We were looking at two units and saw the plackard shown in the photo above. It said AMERICAN AIRLINES INC. Of course it caught our attention the very name did. I asked the store owner what he would take for them and he said shoot me a price. I said we really just wanted the plackards on the units. He said Hell you can have those. We took our pocket knife and remove them promptly. I then made a state ment that I would keep mine longer than him. Bill said I was ON and we shook hands. I still have mine BILL do you?rf Posted by Hello
