Inaugral Jet Service on 6/11/1981 for Shreveport,LA
That's me on the LEFT in SHV in 1981. My we were young.
A little story on that subject. Grady Murphy and I were on a trip through SHV as AA mechanics. While on the ground on thru service the Captain came back and told us we could not take off due to a mechanical problem with the aircraft. He explained to us the cowl flaps would not close on Nr.2 engine on the Convair 240. I told him if we trailed the flaps would he be satisfied. He said sure that would be great. So ole Murph and I opened the engine cowling and trailed the cowl flaps and we made skedule out of SHV. Good going Randy
