TAG Aviation--- Paris, France

One of my favorites I flew on as Flight Engineer for a French Company TAG. We primarily flew the boss from one of his mansions to the other in Europe and the Middle East. Posted by Hello It was necessary for the Flight Engineer to have a current Aircraft and Powerplant licenese to fly on this airplane to do the maintenance work and inspections. We were in Cairo ,Egypt one dark stormy night headed for Paris. We attempted to start the Nr #3 engine and the started did not engage. I told the Captain that we needed to call a mechanic and he said you are the mechanic .
Gosh I was really in a quandry, but lo and behold I fixed it by a trick I learned Singapore. The Captain asked what did you do to fix it and I said "trade secrets". Stay at home for it's rough out there.
